2017 Design Trends for your LIV Apartment

We’re into a new year and it’s a great time to revamp our homes and add in some of the most popular design trends for 2017. Your LIV Apartment is the perfect modern, simple slate for you to build on and incorporate your design style. Check out some of the most popular trend predictions for 2017 and how you can incorporate them into your apartment below!

In line with Pantones Colour of the Year for 2017, Greenery is a huge trend for design this year. LIV Apartments has green incorporated throughout the building, so why not bring some of that into your suite? Depending on how bold or subtle you want to go, you can use greenery in the form of furniture, pillows, decorative accents and more. Check out other ways to incorporate green into your apartment, here.

Texture is always a great way to add dimension and different elements into your home. Try using different materials to layer throw pillows, incorporate wood or metal elements together or combine modern and antique items, just to name a few.

Mixed Patterns

Using different patterns throughout your home has always been a trick of designers. This can be achieved with throw pillows, bedding, rugs, artwork, etc. Mix and match different patterns and colours to create a feeling of warmth and comfort in your apartment.

Faux Finishes

Marble and fur are great examples of finishes that have taken a liking for 2017 and a spin on this would be to go ‘faux’. Use faux marble as decorative accents on your counters or as a vase. You can use faux fur in the form of a rug, blanket, pillow or accent chair.
