5 Breakfast Ideas for On-the-Go


You’ve probably heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast gets our metabolism rolling and helps to start our day with much needed energy. When you’re in a rush or swamped in the morning, it can be easy for time to fly by without eating. We’ve gathered a few ideas for breakfast on-the-go to help keep your morning routine easy and efficient:

1. Smoothies

Smoothies can be packed with any flavor combinations you love. Focus on your fruit intake or throw in extra nutrients and include a portion of veggies to start your day off right. Using frozen fruits save time and creates the frozen, icy aspect of the drink. Easy to whip up on your way out the door!

2. Overnight Oats

Growing in popularity, overnight oats save you a TON of time in the morning. Mix together a jar of oats, fruit, yogurt, etc. the night before and grab from the fridge in the morning.

3. Muffins

Preparing a few batches of your favourite breakfast muffins and storing them in the freezer creates an easy and quick meal for your morning tasks. Remove from the freezer the night before for quick consumption, or remove in the morning and enjoy your breakfast within a few hours. You can even warm up the muffin for a few seconds to add a freshly baked feel.

4. Breakfast Burritos

Scramble up a few eggs, add veggies, cheese and any other toppings of your choice, and you have an easy breakfast wrapped in a tortilla!

5. Yogurt Parfaits

Make fresh in the morning or put together the night before. Simply layer yogurt, fruit, and any granola, oats or seeds you enjoy. If you’re preparing the night before, consider adding your granola or oat topping in the morning to add crunch to your parfait.
