Bike Your Way Around LIV Apartments

Biking is one of Ottawa residents’ favourite things to do in the warm weather, and the city has definitely been designed to help you get around! Not only have a large portion of the streets been equipped with bike lanes, there are a ton of paths that take you all throughout the city and over into Quebec.

Get together with your friends and family and check out some of these routes.

Sunday Bikedays

Only a short 12 minute ride from LIV Apartments, take advantage of Sunday Bikedays along Colonel By Drive! Between May 15, 2016 and September 4, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Colonel By Drive, Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway and Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway are closed to vehicles and cyclists take over the streets.

Rideau River Eastern Parkway

15 minutes from LIV Apartments, you can access the River Path and explore Vincent Massey Park, Hog’s Back Falls/Park and the Rideau Falls/Park.

Voyageurs Pathway

Extend your bike ride and travel into Gatineau to check out the Voyageurs Pathway. Only a 25 minute journey to cross over into Quebec and access the trail. While you’re on route, you’ll see amazing views on Parliament Hill and the Canadian Museum of History.

Attractions to See

There are a ton of amazing places to see around LIV Apartments, grab your bike and check them out! Places to explore include Canadian War Museum, Dows Lake, Dominion Arboretum, Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, Experimental Farms, Canadian Museum of Nature, Canadian Museum of History, along with a ton of other spots to discover!
