Generous Giving in Ottawa This Holiday Season

The holiday season is a time for sharing and spending time with loved ones. Although we support giving back year-round, the holidays are a great time to donate and contribute what you can, when and where you can. At LIV Apartments, we wish for everyone to have a happy holiday season!

If you’re looking to lend a helping hand, we’ve gathered a few ideas for how you can share the cheer and contribute this holiday season.

Holiday Helpers

Holiday Helpers has a goal of bringing Christmas to 500 families this season. To contribute to this goal, you can sponsor a family by purchasing gifts from their wish list (items include winter jackets, household items, etc.), donate money or gifts, or volunteer. Learn more about Holiday Helpers and how you can help, here.

Ottawa Food Bank

Ottawa Food Bank accepts donations and volunteers throughout the whole year. With an increase of help taking place over the holidays, you can donate money, food or time to help those in need. Get your company involved and host a food drive at your office to gather non-perishable items to donate. Learn more about donation options, here.

Toy Mountain

Gathering toys for young children, Toy Mountain distributes gifts to those less fortunate. You can contribute to the program by donating gifts or volunteering to sort the donations received! Click here to learn more about Toy Mountain.

The Ottawa Mission

A year round initiation, The Ottawa Mission helps those in need in the Ottawa region. This holiday season, you can contribute donations toward Christmas Dinners, or purchase cookie dough as part of their A Taste of Hope initiative. Learn more about The Ottawa Mission and other ways you can get involved, here.

From December 1-20, 2016, LIV residents can also head down to the lobby to donate non-perishable items to the food drive! Have another organization or a generous deed that you get involved in? Share in the comments below!
