LIV Apartments Sets Up For HOPE Volleyball

Over the weekend, LIV Apartments played in the 35th edition of HOPE Volleyball Summerfest in Ottawa. HOPE is a volleyball competition that takes place each summer to raise money for charity through registration costs and pledges. The 2017 charities included Children at Risk, Sexual Assault Support Centre, Dress for Success, Shepherds of Good Hope, Ottawa Community Housing Foundation and The Waupoos Foundation.

Taking place at Mooney’s Bay, 20,000 residents of Ottawa and the surrounding area get together to play volleyball and enjoy some fun in the sun. 1000 teams were registered for the event, and with games taking place every 15 minutes, the area was filled with people walking around, checking out the vendors, competing, and cheering on their teammates! Throughout the day, bands including The Strumbellas, USS, The Lowest of the Low, Missioner, Cannons and Amos The Transparent took the stage to keep the party going and set the tone for the day.

LIV Apartments had so much fun competition against a selection of corporate teams, who definitely provided some competition! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to spend outside and help raise money for charity.
